Lydham Heath has had several outings this year at the local shows in Welshpool and Ludlow. It has created a lot of interest and we’ve been fortunate that members from Newtown Model Railway Society have operated it on our behalf. Showing a layout like this means that regular maintenance is required; Lydham Heath is no exception and some work is required both on the layout and the stock. Because of this, and because it was felt that local interest has been satisfied, it was decided to seek a new home for it.
Lydham Heath has found a new home and its new owner Simon Dunkley plans to take it out and show it at new venues. Simon, chairman of the “S” Gauge Society, has helped operate it in the past and is looking forward to giving Lydham Heath a new lease of life. Simon has joined the BCRS too; he says he’s been meaning to for twenty years…
He’s offered us a return visit when the Weighbridge has been completed. We are very grateful to David Finney and Craven Arms and District Model Railway Circle for looking after Lydham Heath on our behalf.
